Doc is live at Redskins training camp, Coach Thompson will be in the studio talking about the upcoming season.
Nationals manager Jim Riggleman said thursday morning Stephen Strasburg will miss his next scheduled start this Sunday. Strasburg was supposed to start Tuesday night against the Braves, however a last minute decision was made to scratch Strasburg from the line up due to a tightness in his shoulder. Wednesday Nationals General Manager Mike Rizzo said xrays revealed there was no injury and they did not expect Strasburgs shoulder to present a larger problem. Jim Riggleman said Thursday morning Strasburg would be shut down the next "10 days or so" to give Strasburg a rest.
Wizards Center Javale McGee was cut from the USA Basketball team today along with OJ Mayo, Tyreke Evans, and Gerald Wallace as the team trimmed its roster to 15 players. Read the full story from Chris Sheridan here.
