Red Zebra Broadcasting - Finance Assistant/Office Manager
Red Zebra Broadcasting is looking for an experienced Finance Assistant/Office Manager for its corporate headquarters located in Rockville, Maryland.
Candidates must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, be extremely well organized, detail-oriented and should be well versed in Microsoft Office applications and QuickBooks.
Candidates must also have previous human resources and/or office administration experience and will be responsible for handling all of the Company’s facility matters, FCC EEO compliance and maintaining/implementing corporate policies and procedures.
Additionally, job responsibilities will include performing entry level accounting duties to include billing, A/R, A/P and payroll, and assisting the Sr. Management team with daily business matters as required.
This position is a full time position and reports directly to the Corporate Controller.

Sports Radio Sales Account Executive
The Sports Account Executive position is an outside sales position based out of the broadcast facility in Rockville, Maryland. Account Executives are experienced media sales professionals able to generate revenue from local and regional advertisers and advertising agencies. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in advertising sales with an understanding of the Sports Talk format and personality driven content. Our account executives sell advertising across popular sports talk shows like Mike & Mike in the Morning, Tony Kornheiser, the Sports Fix, Inside the Locker Room, and the Sports Reporters as well as a wide array of play-by-play sporting events including Redskins Football, Orioles Baseball, University of Maryland Football and Basketball, NFL Playoffs, Super Bowl, and Georgetown University Basketball. We are looking for a self-starter with a consultative sales approach who is pro-active in generating new business and increasing advertising from existing advertisers.

Responsibilities include:
1. Job emphasis is on selling new business through cold calls and existing account lists.
2. Proactively prospecting and qualifying potential new advertising accounts.
3. Sell advertising and sponsorship opportunities on ESPN 980 and espn980.com.
4. Present persuasive sales presentations to all levels of an organization.
5. Successfully close accounts in excess of $50,000 annually and manage a business exceeding $1,000,000 in yearly revenue.
Requirements:
1. Minimum of 2 to 3 years advertising sales experience with proven success.
2. Strong sales and customer service skills.
3. Superior phone, in-person, and written communication abilities.
4. Strong understanding of marketing dynamics including demographic and psychographic targeting and branding positions.
5. Results oriented, accountable, strong work ethic, proven negotiation skills.
6. Outstanding computer skills including solid knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
7. 4-year college degree, preferably Marketing and Advertising.

ESPN980 Street Team Member
ESPN 980 is in search of a few good all stars to join our street team! As an ESPN 980 street team member, you will gain a first hand perspective into the many aspects of the sports radio, marketing and advertising industries!
Responsibilities include:
Setting up event and staging elements, attending promotions which include Redskins Games, Remote Broadcasts, station events, and sales appearances.
Supporting programming staff during live broadcast, and listener interaction.
Requirements:
Must be dedicated, hard-working, self motivated and open to learning new skills through hands-on experience.
Must apply creativity and initiative to all projects.
Clear verbal, written and typing/computer skills are essential.
Knowledge of media, sports and entertainment industries is preferred.
Must have access to reliable transportation, a clean driving record, and a comfort level driving station vehicles.
Be able to lift at least fifty pounds and be able to learn how to set up station display materials.
Be available to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Ability to work a minimum of ten to twelve hours a week during football season.
Be able to work well in a team environment.

Red Zebra Broadcasting is owned by RedZone Capital, LLC, which founded the company as a platform for the acquisition of radio, television, internet and other entertainment enterprises. The company currently consists of thirteen radio stations, four in the Washington, D.C., market that operates under the banner of ESPN980, WXGI-AM in Richmond, VA, WXTG-FM in Norfolk, Virginia, and a series of music and talk radio stations in Virginia, giving Red Zebra a presence in four of the largest Virginia radio markets. Principal Job Functions:
The purpose of this internship is to give students a unique opportunity to learn and provide support in the day to day operations of the Marketing & Client Services departments. Responsibilities may include designing and creating new sales materials, planning and assisting in the execution of station promotional events, editing digital sound clips, supporting the sales and marketing teams, client and market research, and working at station remote broadcasts including home game dates and training camp. Interns may also work with clients on day to day projects involving game day marketing campaigns and on-air advertising. Interns will also have the opportunity to learn new broadcasting and marketing software.
